Hello and welcome.  You’ve stumbled across the blog of Wes Faler, a software engineer, simulation writer (Java/C#/C++), Mathematica user, rocket scientist, snowboarder, punster, and occasional blogger.  I believe:

• the future of engineering lies with interactive, stochastic, agent-based simulations
• a high specific impulse, high force engine is key to our future in space
• exploiting quantum tunneling is key to our energy future
• desalinating sea water is critical to our survival

Hopefully time will permit elaboration on these.  Better yet, someone’s projects will make them real!
